Privacy Policy

Frontier Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) hereby establishes the following privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as the “Policy”) regarding the handling of privacy information for the services provided on this website (hereinafter referred to as the “Service”).

Article 1 (Privacy Information)

“Personal information” in privacy information refers to “personal information” as defined by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and refers to information about a living individual that can identify a specific individual by description such as name, date of birth, address, phone number, contact details, or other descriptions contained in the information.

“History information and characteristic information” within privacy information refer to information other than “personal information” defined above, and include records of services used, products purchased, pages or advertisements viewed, search keywords used by the user, date and time of use, usage method, usage environment, postal code, gender, occupation, age, IP address of the user, cookie information, location information, device identification information, etc.

Article 2 (Method of Collecting Privacy Information)

The Company may ask for personal information such as name, date of birth, address, phone number, email address, bank account number, credit card number, and driver’s license number when the user registers for use. Additionally, the Company may collect transaction records including the user’s personal information or payment-related information between the user and our affiliates (including information providers, advertisers, and advertising distributors, hereinafter referred to as “Affiliates”).

The Company collects history information and characteristic information, such as the services and software used, products purchased, pages and advertisements viewed, search keywords used, date and time of use, usage method, usage environment (including communication status and various setting information when using a mobile device), IP address, cookie information, location information, and device identification information when the user uses the services of the Company or its Affiliates or views pages.

Article 3 (Purpose of Collecting and Using Personal Information)

The purposes for which the Company collects and uses personal information are as follows:

  1. To allow the user to view or modify their registered information and to check the usage status, such as registered information including name, address, contact information, payment method, services used, products purchased, and related fees.
  2. To use contact information such as name and address for notifying and communicating with the user, sending products, or contacting as necessary.
  3. To use information such as name, date of birth, address, phone number, bank account number, credit card number, driver’s license number, and delivery confirmation results to verify the identity of the user.
  4. To use information such as the product name and quantity purchased, the type and period of services used, the number of times used, billing amount, name, address, bank account number, and credit card number to bill the user.
  5. To display registered information on the input screen or transfer it to other services based on the user’s instructions, to allow the user to input data easily.
  6. To refuse the use of the Service by users who violate the terms of service, such as delaying payment or causing damage to third parties, or users who attempt to use the Service for fraudulent or unjust purposes, by using information such as usage patterns, name, and address for identification purposes.
  7. To use information necessary for responding to inquiries from the user, such as inquiry details, payment-related information, and information related to the user’s service usage status and contact information.
  8. To use the information for purposes incidental to the above-mentioned purposes.

Article 4 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)

The Company will not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining prior consent from the user, except in the following cases, or unless permitted by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other laws and regulations:

  1. When required by law.
  2. When necessary to protect human life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the user’s consent.
  3. When particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the sound growth of children, and it is difficult to obtain the user’s consent.
  4. When necessary to cooperate with a state agency, local government, or an entity entrusted by them to execute the affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining the user’s consent may hinder the execution of such affairs.
  5. When the following conditions have been previously notified or publicly announced:
  • The purpose of use includes provision to third parties.
  • The items of data provided to third parties.
  • The means or method of provision to third parties.
  • Stopping the provision of personal information to third parties at the request of the user.

Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the following cases do not fall under the category of third parties:

  1. When the Company entrusts the handling of personal information in whole or in part within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use.
  2. When personal information is provided due to business succession through a merger or other reasons.
  3. When personal information is jointly used with a specific entity, and the user is notified in advance or can easily find out that the personal information will be used jointly, the items of personal information to be jointly used, the scope of those using it, the purpose of use, and the name of the person responsible for managing the personal information.

Article 5 (Disclosure of Personal Information)

When requested by the user, the Company will disclose personal information without delay. However, the Company may decide not to disclose all or part of the information if it falls under any of the following conditions, and if a decision not to disclose is made, the user will be notified without delay. A fee of 1,000 yen per request will be charged for the disclosure of personal information.

  1. If there is a risk of harming the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the user or a third party.
  2. If there is a risk of significantly hindering the proper conduct of the Company’s business.
  3. If it violates other laws and regulations.

Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, history information and characteristic information other than personal information will not, in principle, be disclosed.

Article 6 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)

If the personal information held by the Company is incorrect, the user may request the Company to correct or delete the personal information through the procedures specified by the Company.

If the Company determines that it is necessary to respond to the request made in the preceding paragraph, it will correct or delete the relevant personal information without delay and notify the user.

Article 7 (Suspension of Use of Personal Information)

If the user requests the suspension or deletion of the use of personal information (hereinafter referred to as “Suspension of Use”) on the grounds that it is being handled beyond the scope of the intended purpose or that it was obtained through wrongful means, the Company will conduct necessary investigations without delay and, based on the findings, will carry out the Suspension of Use and notify the user accordingly. However, if the Suspension of Use incurs a significant cost or is otherwise difficult, and if alternative measures necessary to protect the rights and interests of the user can be taken, such alternative measures will be implemented.

Article 8 (Changes to the Privacy Policy)

The contents of this Policy may be changed without notifying the user, except as otherwise provided by law or in this Policy.

Unless otherwise specified by the Company, the revised privacy policy will take effect when posted on this website.
